received her B.F.A. from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a M.F.A. in Photography at the University of Illinois at Chicago. In April 2016, Nielsen presented a solo exhibition at Danziger Gallery in New York City. In June, her light collages were part of a two-person show at the Sirius Arts Centre in Cobh, Ireland. The previous year, Nielsen had solo shows at SOCO Gallery in Charlotte, North Carolina, at Laurence Miller Gallery in New York City and at Denny Gallery also in New York City. She also exhibited extensively in Chicago and Berlin, and her work was presented at Paris Photo. Nielsen’s exhibitions have been reviewed by ART21, The New Yorker, The New York Times and the Wall Street Journal.

Currently, Liz is doing an Artist Residency at the Budapest Art Factory, Hungary, September, 2016
